DAZ3d.com is a company offering content for Poser, most notably their poser content compatible software Daz Studio as well as a line of base models. These base models are supported by DA as well as content sites all across the web. Not all content at DAZ is made in house and many items are made by Published Artists.
The Michael and Victoria line of figures were announced in 2000 and called the 'Millennium' figures. The name has stuck with the line of figures derived from that mesh
Starting with Victoria3, DAZ started the 'unimesh' concept. By using the same base mesh for the figures they created cross compatibility with skins, poses, and morphs. Anything tagged as 'unimesh' can often by used across several Mil3 generation figures.
Victoria 4 and Michael 4 refine the Unimesh concept. Now figures such as Aiko, Hiro and the Freak are being made as morphs of the v4/m4 base figure. This adds a level of flexibility and versatility to the figures that expands the possibilities. It also makes it much easier to support these additional figure types.
